Bringing the imagination to light with glass

of wings and things glass art is an Irish company owned and run by me, Eva Walsh. With a degree in Glass, a background in Fine Art, and a keen interest in Irish culture and folklore, my glass work consists of illustrative fused glass and stained glass art pieces reflecting aspects of Irish culture. The glass is decorated and illustrated using hand-painting and/or printing techniques. The finished result is a piece of original hand-crafted glass art.

I have a range of decorated fused glass light-catchers available for purchase - from airy winged hearts to a playful cup of tea. Currently I am working on the production of a range of contemporary Irish glass art jewellery with hand-painted and printed elements. I think of these pieces as wearable art as each one is hand-crafted and unique. My inspiration for this wearable art is the everyday in contemporary Irish culture.

Alongside making glass pieces, I design and create lino-print cards. I enjoy the process of making a lino-print: from initial sketch, to carving the design in the lino, to inking it up, and finally seeing the image come to life on paper. In the shop you will find a range of handmade greeting cards available for special occasions, each one hand-printed and unique.

Everything I create is designed and handmade with love in my home studio in rural Co. Sligo.

Have a look, and I hope you find something you like. If you are looking for a custom-made piece of glass art, please feel free to get in touch via email.

Thank you! Eva
