Glass is my chosen medium: I draw on it, paint it, print on it, and then fire it, creating original stained glass pieces. Using the technique of lino-printing I also make unique cards. I find inspiration in the animal world and in human nature, both it's light and dark aspects.

This fused glass Winged Heart is a symbol of freedom and love. The heart is the universal symbol for love, while the wings symbolise the boundless freedom that love offers. The Winged Heart includes hand-painted and screen-printed elements.

All of the glass components are cut and ground. The wings are carefully hand-painted on opal white glass, while the keys are screen-printed onto the glass. All of the pieces are fused together at a very high temperature in the kiln to create this unique glass light-catcher.

A hole is drilled in the finished piece, and a black organza ribbon is added for hanging.
