This charming fused glass Irish thatched cottage is inspired by the old cottages that can still be seen in areas of rural Ireland. A nostalgic reminder of a bygone era. It has hand-painted windows and door, and an old Irish proverb printed on the roof - 'Níl aon tinteán mar do thinteán féin'. This translates literally as, 'there is no fireside like your own fireside'. In other words, there's no place like home.
All of the individual pieces of glass that make up the cottage are cut, some painted, printed, and fused together at a very high temperature in the kiln to create this unique glass Thatched Cottage. It is finished with twine for a rustic look and is sure to put a smile on your face and add some charm to your home.
