Fused glass Portrait of W.B. Yeats - tread softly

A striking green kiln-fired fused glass light-catcher featuring a portrait of poet W.B. Yeats, hand-painted with black glass enamel. Also featuring a hand-printed line of text from his poem, He wishes for the Cloths of Heaven. The 2 decorated pieces of glass were kiln-fired to 700°C to set the enamel. The 2 layers were then fuse fired to 760°C with a base of clear glass. Each panel is finished by drilling a hole in the top of the fired piece and a length of waxed cotton cord added for hanging.

Each piece is cut, hand-painted, kiln-fired and finished with love in my home studio in rural Co. Sligo.

Glass measures 13 x 7 x 0.8cm.
